TouchOSC Mk1 Manual

Layout

This is the manual for the Mk1 version of TouchOSC. You can find the manual for the current version here.

A layout in TouchOSC terms is a file that contains a set of pages with controls plus their individual settings, such as OSC- and MIDI-mappings, appearance and other options. These files have a .touchosc extension when transferred or downloaded to a desktop computer.

TouchOSC layout files can be created and modified using the TouchOSC Editor application which we'll discuss in the Editing layouts chapter.

Layouts can be transferred to the device over a WiFi network using the TouchOSC Editor, or copied using a USB cable connection. Both methods will be discussed on the following pages.

On TouchOSC's main configuration screen the layout section displays the name of the currently loaded layout or Not set if no layout is currently active. Selecting this row will take you to TouchOSC's layout selection screen from where you can load, delete and add layout files on your device.
