I’ve tried creating a Blank Comp, but like @alx said it crashes QC.

Any idea on how to fix this?

automatically created outlets are usefull but it would be a great help to be able to turn it off after a listening process.
otherwise the list gets larger and larger with unneccesary stuff. thanx for creating this plugin!

my problem is the XY pad giving just one value, and not a structure for X and Y cordinates.

is it right, or iam wrong?

Nice idea!
How about a sending version, too? It seems QCs OSC Sent patch isn’t very good, either.

It’s worth noting that this patch will crash QC if you try and use it, and already have one of the stock OSC Send/Receive patches in a composition.

I am currently working with Apples OSC receiver quite a bit and I stumbled across your site. I am
encountering some difficulties with Apples solution and I thought you might have some ideas,.

It seems I can only have one active composition ie. one receiver patch on a given port at a time. This might be sensible enough, but the problem is I am using a number of compositions for VJing and might have multiple compositions loaded at the same time in an arbitrary
order – so it becomes really annoying to have these hardcoded ports. Only alternative is to prepare my whole collection of compositions with a unique port setting for each.

the optimal would be a patch enables you to set a new port runtime – or a patch that scans for the next available port in a range.

Any ideas for a hack?
Or a next version of your plugin that does this?

Great work! This app is the best thing to happen to MIDI in a long time. By the way, you might want to update the current app icon, because it’s nondescript black box look totally sells the awesomeness within short!

Fantastic work. TouchOSC is very cool, it’s exciting to see better OSC support for us QC folks as well. Definitely keep up the good work. As a heavy user of QC and OSC, I am certainly eager to see further development on this plug as well.

The problem seems to be that if the receiver doesn’t have a new received value at the time when its outlet asks for it, it just defaults to sending a zero instead, resulting in some “jumpy” behavior, but that’s just my interpretation of what’s going on. I work around that by remembering the value received last and outputting that until a new one is received.

Or is the problem with the Apple one that it just stops working altogether sometimes? I cant remember and dont know where to look to find out.
